Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before you start.

How early does WinRadar catch a project?

WinRadar surfaces projects at the earliest available signal — planning filings, entitlement activity, and pre-permit registrations that can appear years before construction begins. Some projects in WinRadar today won't break ground for another two or three years. By the time a project hits a bid board, it's already been in WinRadar.

What data sources does WinRadar pull from?

WinRadar aggregates proprietary signals from government permitting systems, planning and zoning activity, and commercial construction registrations across Texas. We don't disclose our specific sources — that's part of what makes the intelligence valuable.

Can I filter by project type?

Yes. You can filter by project type (commercial new construction, multifamily, residential, site work, and more), pipeline stage, valuation, and metro. You can select multiple project types at once to see exactly the slice of the market relevant to your trade.

What's the difference between WinRadar and a bid board?

Bid boards show you work that's already been put out to bid — the GC has been selected, the subs are being solicited, and you're competing on price. WinRadar shows you what's moving through the pipeline before any of that happens — before the GC has been chosen, before the bid goes out, when relationships still matter.

What's the difference between WinRadar and a permit listing service?

Permit listing services show you permits that have already been issued — meaning construction is imminent or already underway. That's useful for some things, but by that point the GC is selected and the major relationships are already locked in. WinRadar goes earlier: planning filings, entitlement activity, and pre-permit signals that surface projects long before a permit is ever pulled. The goal is to give you time to build the relationship, not just react to it.

Does WinRadar cover residential and production builder activity?

Yes. Single-family new construction, multifamily, and production builder activity (KB Home, D.R. Horton, Lennar, etc.) are all in the feed alongside commercial projects.

What Texas metros are covered?

Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin-Round Rock, and San Antonio. All four metros are live and updated daily.

How often is data refreshed?

Daily. The pipeline runs every night so your feed reflects the latest market activity each morning.

Is there a free trial?

There's no free trial, but plans start at $49/month and you can cancel anytime — no contracts, no commitments.

What does it cost?

Plans start at $49/month. See winradar.co/pricing for full details.

Is WinRadar a CRM?

No. WinRadar is market intelligence — it tells you what's moving and who's building it. It has lightweight relationship tracking (follow companies, log contacts, set follow-ups) but it's not a replacement for a full CRM. Think of it as the feed that tells you who to put in your CRM.

What trades and company types use WinRadar?

General contractors, concrete and flooring subs, site work contractors, ready mix suppliers, lumber yards, roofing contractors, waterproofing specialists, and more. If your job involves finding new work in Texas before it hits a bid list, WinRadar is for you.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from your account settings — no calls, no friction, no contracts.
